Front-End Web Developer (NYC)

We are looking for a front-end web developer to work with us on short and long term Shopify projects, as well as help us build and grow our own agency site. The ideal candidate has a passion and talent for learning new things quickly and easily, has a strong eye for detail and design and has a strong foundation in modern front-end languages. This role works efficiently, values honesty and integrity and is highly dedicated to delivering excellent work.

  • Location: NYC (hybrid work environment with at least one day per week in the office)
  • Hours: Full-Time

  • What You'll Do

    • Develop front-end code for Shopify-based websites on behalf of clients
    • Help our marketing team set up tracking and troubleshooting
    • Help maintain and build for our agency site
    • Collaborate with our in-house and client teams as needed

  • Who You Are

    • Solid grasp of translating comps and wireframes into semantically correct web templates (HTML5, CSS, vanilla JS)

    • Good understanding of jQuery and RESTful APIs

    • Experience with Github and version control is a must

    • Experience with Shopify API, Slate/ThemeKit preferred

    • Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design principles

    • Ability to write and structure maintainable, efficient, clean code

    • Great communication skills and responsiveness

    • Good eye for design details

    • Ability to work independently

    • Must be fluent (written and spoken) in English

    • Loves logic, problem solving and learning new things

    • Legally authorized to work in the United States
